I want to thank you for being a faithful listener to Somebody Loves You Radio. Many of you may remember us as Manna for Today, when we first went on the air back in 1980. Thirteen years later, in 1993, we changed to Somebody Loves You Radio, because I wanted the world to know the love of Jesus Christ. He pours out His love, grace and mercy on each one of us, as we seek Him.
Since we first went on the air, God has blessed this ministry tremendously and He has blessed me personally, as He has used my life to speak to His people.
Many years ago, I was an angry man, heading for hell, but God, in His great love, grace and mercy, got ahold of my life, and He gave me a purpose and vision. He sent me out to preach His Word and teach His people, so they would be equipped in their Christian walk, just as Paul the Apostle instructed Timothy:
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Today, more than 40 years after I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, I still have the same vision and passion He gave me so long ago. He renews my heart and mind daily, as He gives me His messages for the congregation. As a part of our radio audience, you too are a part of our congregation, and we are all a part of the body of Christ.
I pray you are inspired by God’s Word, as you listen to the messages God had given to me for all of you. As the Word goes out, open your hearts to the Holy Spirit and see what He wants to do in your lives. Then, pursue the vision and passion He gives to you.
I pray the Lord would renew the passion in your heart of His vision every single day of your life, just as He has done in mine.
May the Lord bless and keep you as you seek to serve Him.
